Our featured user this week is well known within the ShopLook community as @sadcherrysoda, but out in the real world you can call her Riley.
She lives in California, and anyone that follows her knows that she has an affinity for 90’s grunge. She may have been too young to witness Kurt Cobain rocking on stage in person, but she carries on the spirit of a true riot girl and it shows up as a recurring theme in her sets.

Favorite fashion decade?
I am obsessed with the 90s. Some of the best fashion styles and music came from that decade (like the grunge and riot grrl movement).
Tell us about your style icons:
Inspiring style icons like Kurt Cobain, Gwen Stefani, and Kat Bjelland influence my fashion choices every day.
How would you describe your style in three words?
Edgy, Rebellious, Feminine
When you create a set, do you have yourself in mind? Or somebody else?
I have many different sides to myself so I create each set for a different side of me.
Are there other ShopLook users that inspire your creativity?
I am most inspired by Shoplook users like @callisto and @looksbylyla. They each make very different styled sets, but I find their way of expressing aesthetics amazing.
What advice would you give to other users looking to improve their creative process?
I think it's important to create from what speaks to you most in this life. For me that is music. My sets almost always are tied to music or lyrics. For someone else it might be something different. But if you create from that special thing that means the world to you, there is no failure in whatever the result is.
What is a fun fact that others might not know about you?
I'm actually a guitarist in a band called Nectarine. We play alternative rock style music, and I write the lyrics for all our songs.
If you had to choose only one album to listen to for a week, what would it be?
I'd choose to listen to the album "Bleach" by Nirvana.
What is something that you purchased recently and absolutely love?
Recently I purchased a distressed corduroy jacket that I feel is probably the best item of fashion that I own!
What led you to ShopLook and what keeps bringing you back?
I was overjoyed to find that a place as dedicated to its users as ShopLook exists. I keep coming back because its one of the main things that brings me pleasure everyday. I'm happiest when I'm creating.
